Martide’s partners are seeking skilled and safety-conscious Zodiac Drivers to join their teams. This role involves operating inflatable boats (Zodiacs) to transport passengers, crew, and equipment to and from ships, shorelines, and remote destinations. As a key part of the expedition team, Zodiac Drivers play a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and enjoyable transfers for guests, often in challenging weather and sea conditions. Candidates should be confident boat handlers with strong situational awareness and a commitment to safety at all times.

Key responsibilities generally include:

• Safely operate Zodiacs to transport passengers, crew, and equipment between ships, shorelines, and excursion sites.
• Assist with passenger embarkation and disembarkation, ensuring safety and stability during boarding.
• Conduct pre-departure safety briefings for passengers and ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations.
• Monitor sea, weather, and tide conditions to ensure safe route planning and navigation.
• Assist in the maintenance and routine checks of Zodiac boats, reporting any mechanical or safety issues to senior staff.
• Adhere to maritime safety regulations and follow instructions from senior crew members and expedition leaders.
• Support shore excursions and landings by providing logistical assistance and facilitating passenger movements.
• Ensure the cleanliness and readiness of Zodiacs before each operation.
• Participate in regular emergency response drills and support rescue operations if required.
• Provide high levels of customer service, offering guidance, assistance, and information to passengers during transfers.
