Successful candidates will work closely with experienced fitters and engineers to ensure the smooth operation of our vessels, supporting efficient and safe voyages.

Key responsibilities generally include:

• Assist in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems, including engines, pumps, and piping systems.
• Support the installation and alignment of machinery and equipment under the supervision of senior fitters.
• Conduct routine checks on machinery to identify wear, damage, or potential failures.
• Participate in planned maintenance schedules and follow established protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, replacements, and maintenance activities.
• Comply with all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues and propose solutions in collaboration with the engineering team.
• Participate in on-the-job training to develop technical skills and knowledge of ship systems.
• Handle tools, spare parts, and equipment responsibly to prevent loss or damage.
• Support emergency repairs and respond to mechanical issues as they arise during voyages.
