Martide’s partners are seeking reliable and proactive individuals to fill Shore Support vacancies. This role is essential in providing operational, technical, and logistical support to vessels while they are in port or at sea. Shore Support works closely with ship crews, port authorities, and management teams to ensure smooth vessel operations, timely turnaround, and regulatory compliance. Key areas of responsibility include crew support, supply chain coordination, maintenance planning, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance.

Key responsibilities generally include:

  • Operational Support: Coordinate ship arrival, departure, and port calls, liaising with port authorities, agents, and terminal operators to ensure smooth operations.
    • Crew Support & Welfare: Assist with crew changes, travel arrangements, and welfare support, ensuring crew members have access to essential services and documentation.
      • Supply Chain & Logistics: Oversee the timely delivery of spare parts, tools, and consumables required for vessel operations and maintenance.
        • Planned Maintenance Support: Coordinate with shipboard engineers and technical teams to ensure timely completion of scheduled maintenance and equipment repairs.
          • Compliance with Maritime Regulations: Support vessel compliance with international regulations (e.g., ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL) and flag state requirements during port calls and inspections.
            • Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Compliance: Ensure that shipboard and shore-side operations follow health, safety, and environmental standards, supporting pollution prevention and sustainability initiatives.
              • Documentation & Reporting: Support the preparation of shipping documentation, certificates, and regulatory paperwork required for port clearances, customs, and inspections.
                • Audit & Inspection Support: Assist in the preparation for ship audits, port state control inspections, and regulatory reviews, ensuring vessels are fully compliant with all legal requirements.
                  • Emergency Response & Crisis Management: Act as a point of contact for vessel emergencies, supporting rapid response efforts for incidents such as equipment failure, grounding, or pollution events.
                    • Team Coordination & Communication: Facilitate communication between ship management, technical support teams, and port stakeholders to ensure timely updates and operational alignment.
                      • Vessel Performance Monitoring: Track vessel performance, fuel consumption, and operational efficiency, providing feedback to improve ship performance and sustainability.
                        • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide remote technical support for shipboard teams, guiding them through system malfunctions or urgent repair needs.
