      • Compliance with Maritime Regulations: Ensure the vessel operates in full compliance with international maritime conventions (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL, and ISM Code) as well as flag state and port state requirements.
        • Crew Management & Welfare: Supervise the ship's officers and crew, fostering a positive working environment, overseeing training, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and welfare standards.
          • Safety & Emergency Management: Lead emergency response efforts, including firefighting, flooding, and man-overboard incidents, ensuring the crew is well-trained in emergency drills and protocols.
            • Cargo Operations Oversight: Oversee cargo loading, unloading, and stowage operations, ensuring the safe handling and securing of cargo in accordance with cargo plans and ship stability requirements.
              • Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Compliance: Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all onboard health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
                • Communication & Reporting: Maintain clear communication with shipowners, port authorities, and shore-side management, submitting operational and incident reports as required.
                  • Risk Assessment & Decision-Making: Assess operational risks and make informed decisions to safeguard the safety of the crew, cargo, and vessel.
                    • Ship Maintenance Oversight: Work with the Chief Engineer and Chief Officer to ensure the maintenance, repair, and seaworthiness of the vessel at all times.
                      • Legal & Financial Responsibilities: Oversee documentation related to customs, immigration, and port authorities, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and cost control measures.

Audit & Inspection Support: Lead and support external audits, port state inspections, and ship certification processes, ensuring the vessel is always audit-ready.
