Martide’s partners are looking for detail-oriented and analytical Data Processors to support the collection, processing, and management of shipboard data. Working on vessels such as research, survey, and cargo ships, the Data Processor is responsible for gathering, organizing, and analyzing large volumes of data collected during voyages. This role requires strong technical skills, precision, and the ability to work with specialized software and systems.

Key responsibilities generally include:

• Collect, process, and manage raw data from onboard sensors, navigation equipment, and survey instruments.
• Clean, verify, and validate data to ensure accuracy and completeness before storage or transmission.
• Use specialized software and tools to convert raw data into usable formats for analysis and reporting.
• Monitor the performance and calibration of shipboard data collection systems, ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, or mission-based data reports to the Chief Scientist, Data Manager, or ship's operations team.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with data collection equipment, working closely with technical staff to resolve problems.
• Ensure compliance with data security, confidentiality, and backup protocols.
• Organize and archive large datasets for future access, ensuring traceability and compliance with project guidelines.
• Support the technical team with software updates, equipment calibrations, and system maintenance.
