Martide’s partners are seeking experienced and motivated Cooks to join the culinary team aboard merchant, passenger, and cruise ships. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals for crew members, passengers, and officers, ensuring variety, nutrition, and taste are maintained throughout the voyage.

Key responsibilities generally include:

• Prepare and cook daily meals for crew, passengers, and officers, following pre-set menus and portion guidelines.
• Assist with the preparation of a wide variety of international cuisines to cater to diverse tastes and dietary preferences.
• Support food safety and hygiene standards by maintaining a clean and sanitized galley, kitchen, and storage areas.
• Follow meal schedules and ensure timely service during breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of perishable and non-perishable food items to prevent spoilage and minimize waste.
• Work closely with the Chief Cook or Executive Chef to create daily meal plans and contribute to menu changes as needed.
• Assist with the unloading, inspection, and storage of food provisions to ensure quality and quantity standards are met.
• Comply with international food safety regulations and shipboard sanitation protocols, including HACCP standards.
• Respond to special dietary requests, food allergies, and other crew or passenger meal preferences.
• Perform cleaning duties, maintain kitchen equipment, and ensure all tools are properly stored and maintained.
