Martide’s partners are seeking dedicated and organized Chief Stewards to oversee hospitality, catering, and housekeeping operations aboard their passenger and cruise ships. The Chief Steward is responsible for managing the ship's galley, pantry, mess rooms, and living quarters, ensuring the crew’s health, well-being, and comfort throughout the voyage.

Key responsibilities generally include:

• Supervise and manage the ship’s catering, housekeeping, and hospitality operations, including galley, pantry, mess rooms, and crew accommodations.
• Oversee the preparation, cooking, and service of daily meals for crew and officers, ensuring a variety of nutritious and well-balanced menu options.
• Ensure the ship's kitchen, food storage areas, and living quarters comply with international health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Supervise stewards, cooks, and cleaning staff, assigning daily duties and monitoring performance.
• Manage the inventory, ordering, and storage of food supplies, beverages, cleaning materials, and consumables, ensuring optimal stock levels for the entire voyage.
• Conduct regular inspections of crew accommodations, mess areas, and galley spaces to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained.
• Respond to dietary needs, special requests, and food allergy considerations for crew and officers.
• Ensure waste management and garbage disposal protocols are followed in compliance with MARPOL regulations.
• Prepare reports on catering, housekeeping, and inventory management, and submit them to the Captain or Chief Officer.
