Martide’s partners are seeking dedicated and reliable Assistant Cooks to join their galley teams aboard a variety of vessels. In this role, you will support the Head Cook and galley staff in preparing high-quality meals, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. The ideal candidate is a team player with a passion for food preparation and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key responsibilities generally include:

• Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals as directed by the Head Cook, Chief Cook or Sous Chef.
• Support galley operations by washing, chopping, and prepping ingredients, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards, including the proper storage and handling of ingredients.
• Assist in monitoring inventory levels, stocking supplies, and reporting shortages to the Chief Cook.
• Participate in the cleaning of kitchen equipment, utensils, and galley areas to maintain hygiene and operational efficiency.
• Support the execution of special menus and dietary accommodations for crew or passengers.
• Follow all maritime safety protocols and contribute to emergency procedures as required.
• Collaborate with the galley team to meet meal service deadlines and maintain a positive kitchen environment.
