Martide’s partners are seeking skilled and dedicated Able Seamen (AB) to join their crew aboard various vessels. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of the vessel, contributing to deck maintenance, cargo handling, and general shipboard duties. This position requires teamwork, adaptability, and adherence to maritime safety standards.

Key responsibilities generally include:

• Perform routine deck operations, including maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of the vessel’s exterior and interior.
• Assist in cargo handling, securing, and monitoring during loading and unloading operations.
• Stand watch duties, including lookout and steering the ship as directed by the Officer of the Watch.
• Participate in emergency drills and respond effectively during actual emergencies, following the safety protocols onboard.
• Handle mooring and unmooring operations during port calls, ensuring safe handling of lines and equipment.
• Maintain and operate shipboard equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
• Contribute to the general upkeep and operational readiness of lifesaving and firefighting equipment.
